The Bhagavad Gita

Philosophy to Practice

Live & Self-PacedYoga Alliance YACEP

A comprehensive study of the 18 chapters of the Bhagavad Gita. While the Sutras provide the map of the mind, the Gita provides the manual for living in the world.

Bhagavad Gita 6.47 — of all yogis, the one who abides in Me is the most intimately united with Me
Overview

This course offers a comprehensive study of the 18 chapters of the Bhagavad Gita. While the Sutras provide the "map" of the mind, the Gita provides the "manual" for living in the world. We explore how to maintain inner peace while fulfilling our duties in the midst of life’s chaos.

Throughout the course we move from the text to the "Battlefield of Life," applying the Gita’s wisdom to modern existence through four key pillars — mastery of action, psychological self-audit, values-based decision making, and cultivating inner stability.

Curriculum

Three Parts of Study

From the philosophical context, through all 18 chapters, to living application in daily life.

Part 01

The Philosophical Foundation — The "Context"

  • The Setting of the Gita — the battlefield of Kurukshetra as a metaphor for the internal conflicts we face daily
  • The Concept of Dharma — distinguishing Universal Dharma from Swadharma, individual purpose, as the basis for mental stability
  • The Three Gunas — Sattva, Rajas, Tamas — the forces of nature driving all human behaviour and decision-making
Part 02

The Technical Transmission — The 18 Chapters

  • Karma Yoga — the Yoga of Action (Chapters 1–6): Arjuna’s crisis, the immortality of the soul, and acting without attachment to results
  • Bhakti Yoga — the Yoga of Devotion (Chapters 7–12): the nature of the Divine, the power of faith, and the Vishwa-rupa Darshana
  • Jnana Yoga — the Yoga of Knowledge (Chapters 13–18): the Field and the Knower, the Gunas in depth, and the final synthesis of liberation
Part 03

The "Living Gita" Application

  • Mastery of Action — practising your best in every task while releasing anxiety over the final outcome
  • Psychological Self-Audit — using the Gunas to recognise when the mind is dull, agitated or clear, and shifting back to balance
  • Values-Based Decision Making — navigating crossroads by prioritising duty and purpose over short-term pleasure or fear
  • Cultivating Inner Stability — developing Samatvam, evenness of mind, undisturbed by success, failure, praise or criticism

Common Questions

What is the difference between the live and self-paced formats?

The curriculum is identical. The live cohort meets in scheduled interactive sessions with Nisha; the self-paced format gives you the same lessons as pre-recorded videos, with 90 days of access to move through them on your own time.

Do I need prior study of the Gita or yoga philosophy?

No prior study is required. The course opens with the philosophical context — the setting, Dharma, and the Three Gunas — before moving chapter by chapter through the text.

Is a certificate provided?

Yes — on successful completion, in either format, you receive a Yoga Alliance (YACEP) certificate.

When does the next live batch begin?

Live batch dates are announced periodically. Write to us on WhatsApp or email and we will let you know the next available start date.
